The ULTIMATE Assassin's Creed Beginners Guide (2024)
Assassin's Creed continues to grow in popularity and with more new players trying out the series for the first time with the release of Assassin's Creed Shadows, I wanted to make a video for newcomers, answering frequently asked questions I see in my comment sections, and hopefully giving some helpful advice on where to start with the series. Assassin's Creed is my favorite video game series and I hope I can help other people get into it as well, as it can be a very intimidating and overwhelming franchise to get started in...

We've gotten some more news regarding Assassin's Creed Shadows. Some of it good, some of it disappointing. But what I really wanted to focus on in this video is the absence of some social stealth mechanics for Assassin's Creed Shadows and why I believe social stealth is so important to Assassin's Creed... We've been getting many fantastic Assassin's Creed mods lately, it feels like the Assassin's Creed modding community is the best it's ever been. It's been nearly three years since the Splinter Cell Remake was announced and aside from a few details and concept art, we've heard virtually nothing about the game. We haven't seen much of the narrative for Assassin's Creed Shadows in the promotional material thus far aside from most of the basic premise. While this isn't confirmed yet, in this video I break down who I believe to be the Templar...

thank you for the nice video, I started playing AC in 2023 and it's my favourite franchise since then. My friend just wanted to start with playing AC and I recommend him some games like origin or 2 and he now startet with origins. I personally startet with AC 1 and play them in the release order with the spin offs. Could you please make a video about all lore based media of ac covering books, games, films and all that , thank you.

Unlike most of the people, I started the series on the KaiOS version of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and it's poster attracted me a lot, that game I played was a 2D game but when I searched for it's name I got to see a 3D game. That's how I got into the series.

When I was little I played ac2 on my stepdads Xbox360 after he told me the game was too mature for me. When Mario told Ezio to respect his enemies as to not become them, that stuck with me and I’ll remember that until the day I die.

I started with revelations when it first came out. Then went to AC3 when that came out and then played AC2 and then brotherhood and then Ac1 all before AC4/blackflag came out. That order was amazing for me. Starting with the old and wise version of Altair and Ezio then seeing them when they were young hit the high notes for me. AC3 was revolutionary for me (see what I did there). the dynamics between Connor and Haytham and just how badass both of them are was amazing. When black flag came out, that was the first taste of games like Origins or Odyssey world wise. Black flag opened up the possibilities and I was in love. Unity and Rouge were the cherry on top of all those S tier games. Unity while it was buggy at first, was everything I wanted. Amazing parkour on an amazing layout of buildings, and you could do it with your friends which let us free roam for hours having a blast. I mean, Syndicate was really the first bad game for me, I still am not a fan even tho I just went back to it to finish it. Syndicate is the only fluke for me, and Odyssey as I just couldn’t get into that. I’m trying to finish the game even tho I started it back in 2018. I beat and put 400 hrs in Valhalla and I’m not lying when I say I enjoyed that game. Mirage, boy oh boy, mirage hits the sweet tooth I’ve been aching for since Unity all the way back in 2014. Amazing parkour despite its flaws, the city layout is fantastic and one of the best. Story is what an assassins creed story should be or was and while being basic, it’s very enjoyable and I like having Basims background. I’m like beyond excited for Shadows, I remember in the film of ezios death when he meets the Japanese or Chinese girl I can’t remember, I wanted a game set in feudal Japan. That’s a long time and I’m so glad it’s finally coming. I honestly pre ordered because I know I’ll put 500 hrs into that game easily and yall can mark my words here. “Don’t pre order” yeah yeah, but for me I know I’ll love the game,

As a fan but still new to this is started this series is 2021 and I’ve enjoyed it ever since when I started it was with 2 then I saw the present day was respectfully confused looked it up and then play 1 and I enjoyed it so much so I achieved all the achievements just because it was interesting and simple then I went to AC 2 and I’m not gonna lie I sucked at it and didn’t finish it for 2 years then I did brotherhood and revelations and enjoyed them way more I then skipped a couple and did syndicate and platinumed that before mirage came out and when it did i platinumed that as well and on that I did odyssey since then I’ve revisited 2 and plat that loved every second and am about to start origins

Assassins creed chronological order of playing the games I played the games from a chronological historical standpoint. I played the rpgs first then the rest in order mostly. The only thing is the modern day starts with the originals but historically it starts with the rpgs. You can mostly block it out anyways because it’s not explained very well. Then you’ll start pieceing it together as you start with the originals they actually give a good story telling of the modern day and it easy to follow. But after AC3 it gets complicated. The only time the modern day is explained in the rpgs is the ending of the fate of Atlantis dlc and Then the Valhalla ending does give a lot of spoilers but I wouldn’t even recommend Valhalla I’ll explain later. Just be patient and save your questions for after you beat all the games so you don’t get spoilers. Modern day explanation videos are good too. I started with Odyssey then Origins. I played the fate of Atlantis dlc first because Myrrine tells you to meat your father in the game then he tells you to stuff that leads to the fate of Atlantis dlc so I played that first then The Legacy of the first blade and the ending gives a nice transition to origins. Mirage and Valhalla take place after Origins. Mirage is a prequel to Valhalla. Valhalla came out before but Mirage has no modern day so it makes more sense to play it before Valhalla anyways it gives you an introduction to Basim stuff won’t make sense at first but you piece it back together after. I then Played AC1 through Brotherhood in the normal order. It goes AC1, AC2 ,Brotherhood, and then Revelations. Make sure to watch the embers short movie after it’s a beautiful ending to Ezio. I took a break with the Desmond story and played Blackflag. Then Rogue those modern days sequel each other. I then Continued and ended with Desmond in AC3. I like playing Edward first and then seeing Haytham in Rogue and then Connor it’s a lot more rewarding that way in my opinion. I then went back to finish Rogues ending in Paris and Played Unity afterwards. I finished with Syndicate. I think playing the original games in this order is better in my opinion. Starting with the RPGs was rough though and confusing but it’s pretty dry anyways. The only significant things are the Fate of Atlantis Dlcs and the Valhalla ending Origins explains nothing I had to go watch a summary explanation the Isu messages in Origins. So it’s definitely smarter to play the rpg Layla trilogy last. I did play Valhalla last so I didn’t get any of the Desmond stuff spoiled. Fare warning Mirage and Valhalla are terrible games you definitely won’t like Valhalla if you don’t like long games. Valhalla is very long and boring. The endings are good but it takes forever to get to the endings. I’d recommend you just watch a video of the endings on RUclips the order ending is good too like the Cultists ending on Odyssey but it gives actual important lore. Mirage is just a boring side game prequel for Basim. Loki is important but not Basim. So playing as Basim is pointless. Just don’t think Mirage and Valhalla are worth the money. If it’s on sale you can give them a try. You can also get Ubisoft+ subscription. You get access to all the games but you won’t own them.

Guide to AC: play from 1 to Unity Mayyybe Origins if you really want to try out the new ones. That’s all xD

  • @lilautistico1635
    @lilautistico1635 20 часов назад

Warning for new players wanting to play Valhalla Fair warning Valhalla is considered the worst game in the franchise. It’s not rated well. If you’re new to the AC franchise and didn’t experience the better games then you most likely won’t have a problem with the game especially if you like Norse vikingr history or are into Norse mythology. It also depends on how much you wanna invest yourself in the AC series like how many games you wanna play. Assassins Creed is a complex story with the main historical story line with the Assassins and a modern day storyline with the precursor is the ones that came before that intertwine with the story. So playing the games in an order that makes sense is necessary if you wanna understand the story. Either playing them in the modern day order or in the historical order which is the order I played them in and makes the most sense to me. Because the modern is important but not as important and it’s easy to piece together. The assassins and Templars have a very philosophical standpoint that’s easier to follow in the order of history. You feel more present in the moment with the characters. Valhalla is the latest of the franchise other then Mirage but that was a side game. A Basim prequel for Valhalla with no modern day. Valhalla is the latest game with a significant lore added to the modern day that spoils the entire franchise referencing modern day lore all the way from the earlier games. Odyssey and Origins aren’t majorly significant but Origins starts a new modern day arc that Odyssey sets up for the major ending in Valhalla. So if your not to invested into AC and don’t care about major spoilers then go ahead. Valhalla is a very long game with a boring protagonist but there is a lot of fun stuff you do in the game. Valhalla is the only game to not have new game plus or a synchronisation menu to replay missions. Theres only one Save in which you can make a bunch of manual are quick saves within it. It’s kind of complicated. If you’re considering to ever replay the game You’ll have to make a save at where ever you are currently and go back to your earliest save and just play through the game ignoring all your saves except the latest one you made with your furthest progress achieved. I would recommend making a save at the beginning of each new arc and make them.

Assassin’s creed takes the history of the real assassins and gives a fictional fantasy spin to it giving the assassins menacing cool robes but in the game they wear them to blend with the monks but sense then the significant assassins like Ezio and his dad wore the hood to honor their roots and other brother hoods went on to do the same. The series might surprise you. I’d really suggest trying to play all of the games especially AC1. Assassin’s Creed 1 may seem boring because of how old it is but if you play on a new gen console you’ll have a frame rate and resolution buff. The game was ahead of its time being and open world game with a parkour system allowing you to be free to climb anything. I’d suggest watching Leo K’s parkour video. When you know how to be good with the parkour and not spiny everywhere accidentally back ejecting off everything you’ll enjoy the game much more. AC1 is the only game where you get to experience the Assassin Brotherhood at their best in their prime. Social stealth is at its max potential unlike other games. There’s a good amount to do in the game with the guards always harassing people and there’s multiple ways you have to get information on each target like helping out fellow assassin for information in return, threatening clergymen beating the information out of them, or stalking guards with info on benches. Also actually listen to them because the information can be interesting it gives you causes on who your next target can be and each targets assassination is different and unique it’s not repetitive like everyone says. AC1 is very engaging and immersive most people would enjoy it if they tried Don’t try to ask too many questions you can easily get spoiled trying to ask the community and it’s better to enjoy the games not spoiled. Most of your questions you’ll start piecing the answers together as you finish other games. There are important questions you should answer yourself with the wiki though because Ubisoft likes to write canon into comics. Theres to short movies I’ll list below that you should watch. It will give you context and closure to Ezio. I’ll also list important questions that go unanswered in the games. You can look them up if you like reading or just ask the community they probably don’t mind answering. 1.AC1: How did Altair grow up? 2.AC2: Watch the Lineage movie before playing ac2. 3.AC Revelations: Watch embers movie after completing revelations. 4.AC Revelations: What was Altairs life from AC1 to Revelations. 5.AC4: What happed to Edward in England after blackflag. 5.AC3: Who are Connors children and how did he meet his wife. 6.Shay and Arnos life after the games is unanswered a mystery. 7.Syndicate: What happened to Juno. 8. What do the Isu tell Layla to do in origins and what happens in the time gap between Origins to Odyssey. 9.Valhalla will give you many questions that you’ll never understand like Why was the writing so bad. Why did Eivor not become an Assassin. Why is lokis son a wolf. Why is Hytham an npc that sits in his hut all day. Why does Hytham not go after the order members himself. Why is Randvi a slut. Why does Eivor tell Hytham he still cares about glory after he told Odin he didn’t and that knows Valhalla isn’t real. Why were the docs a waste of time they didn’t answer anything. Why does Valhalla not have new game plus. 10.Mirage: What’s the point in a Basim prequel if he loses his consciousness anyways. Why is there cover assassinations but no cover system. Why are basim assassinations so slow. Why does basim do walking assassinations into walls. How is Basim teleporting. How is Basim too fast for the animus to render him when he’s the slowest assassin we’ve ever played as. How is there even an animus in the first place when there’s zero context for one. What was the point of Mirage if it didn’t answer any questions about Valhalla anyways.

Beat every main title since 2011. Best series ever, even with the rpg style ones. The og style is still the better way of playing in my opinion, but I’ve either liked or loved every game that has come out.

What you said about where you should start is spot on for multiple reasons: Unity does great job with good graphics and fun gameplay while having a lot of the assassins. Chronologically will just spoil the modern day for you and will make transistuoning between old and new games very jarring. Like mirage to ac1

Starting with Altair's Chronicles, I got attracted by the gameplay mechanics and just Altair looking cool, I recommended Black Flag (for naval combat) and Unity (visual) for some of my friends who were thinking of getting into the series, and both of them I think are still pretty much 'old-school' AC games

When I first started playing Assassin's Creed I was there for the stealth, then the hiddenblade was just such a cool concept to me, and later on. The fact that it's so philosophical is so cool, I don't know any other game series that dives this deep into morals and philosophy. And ofcourse the history, the fact that you can play in a world of another time is the closest we'll get to travelling back in time. If anyone is wondering, my first game was syndicate, then black flag, ac origins, odessey, unity, ac 2, brotherhood, revelations, valhalla, ac 3, rogue, mirage. I still wish to play ac1 but can't cuz I have a ps4 and now a ps5, on which you can't play ac1 unfortunately.

When i was a kid the only thing that was on mind when at school was to just get home and play AC 2 on my xbox 360, i loved it but didn't know anything about assassin's creed as a whole. Fast forward 10 years and i randomly saw a video about AC 3 and the absolute aura that conner had, hooked me to play the game. now I'm reliving my childhood playing the older games.

I grew up with AC but didn't truly fall in love with it until I played the Ezio games in 2020

Believe it or not I actually started with Unity back when Origins was the newest game. And after loving that game so much I started playing through all the games. Finishing up Valhalla now, hoping to get all caught up for Shadows. And make sure to keep up the excellent content that I will continue to watch.
